Helsby development back on track
May 8, 2024 | Dan ToddWe’re delighted to announce that a new contractor has been appointed to restart work at our Pavilion Park development, located off Chester Road in Helsby.
Work was well underway on the 215 affordable homes development, but temporarily stalled when the contracted developer, Lane End, unfortunately went into administration in April 2023.
However, building is set to restart soon thanks to the successful appointment of new contractors Countryside Partnerships.
The exciting new development will see 100 homes for shared ownership and 30 homes for Rent to Buy being delivered, which will be a mixture of two, three and four bedrooms. The remaining 85 homes will be available for affordable rent through Onward Living’s parent organisation, Onward Homes.
Sandy Livingstone, executive director of property at Onward, said: “We are extremely pleased to be working with Countryside Partnerships on our Pavilion Park development in Helsby.
“As a national housebuilder we’ve worked with in the past, Countryside shares our commitment to improving the quality and choice of homes across the region.
“These modern homes will not only help local people put down roots more affordably, they will also be more efficient and affordable to run over the long term.
Mike Amesbury, the MP for the area, was among the first to share the news about the new development partner.
“It’s good news that we’re finally seeing progress,” Amesbury said. “It was a crying shame when the previous contractor went into administration. The country needs housing, particularly affordable housing.”
It is hoped that the homes at Pavilion Park will be ready for residents to move into in 2025. Please keep an eye on our website for more details on when these homes will be released for sale.
